Heather Cape
Chair of Trustees
I joined the Mustard Tree board of trustees in 2017 having been so impressed as the Headteacher of a local school with the work the team did to develop awareness of the Christian faith and sow the seeds of God's love. Following my retirement from Headship with a change of career into the world of Child and Adolescent psychotherapy, I took on the role of Chair of Mustard Tree Trust in September 2023. I am passionate about the work we do and the commitment of the trustees and workers to plant the seeds of faith in our children and teenagers across our local schools

Alice Butler
I'm a primary school teacher and have taught at St Robert's Catholic First School in Morpeth for the last 12 years. Prior to moving back North I trained in Leeds and worked in Central London, Hertfordshire and Gloucestershire. I have lived in Morpeth for the past 25 years. I was born and brought up near Rothbury on a farm and am a very proud Northumbrian! I am married with 3 grown up boys. I see first-hand the great work the Mustard Tree Trust does in schools and the positive message that they share with children.
