Lifepath is a Scripture Union project that gives local Christians a chance to serve their local schools by putting on an event for them to attend.
The event offers Year 4 pupils the opportunity to explore the Christian Faith through the "Lifepath" of a well known Christian from the local area.
Lifepath has run at Brinkburn Priory in Northumberland since 2011. In 2018 we had 519 children from 18 schools across Northumberland attend the event. This was our biggest year to date. Children come for a whole school day and take part in a variety of activities linked to one of the Northern Saints. in 2018 we looked at St Oswald and the theme was "The Servant King" looking at how Oswald followed Jesus' Lifepath and served his people with Humility
The activities include: Jesus Journey, Prayer Journey, Bible Journey, Drama, Scriptorium, Clay Tile Making, Quest, Gardening, Cross Crafts, Felting and Oswald Challenge
Lifepath Brinkburn is run as a partnership between Mustard Tree Trust, Scripture Union, Barnabas in Schools and local Churches. It is organised by a Core team, including Kirstine Davis (MTT), Chris Hudson (Barnabus in Schools), Helen Hume (Berwick Baptist Church) and Geoff Brown (Scripture Union)
